She fell against the door, locking it, then jumped on Lucien, her legs wrapping around his waist, and continued to kiss him with the passion she’d been holding inside since she last saw him. She leaned back just enough to reach the hem of her tank to pull it over her head.

“Hang on,” he said. “If you’re in this bad shape, we don’t even have time for that.” He stood her on the floor, unzipped her jeans, and tugged them down. While she stepped out of them, he opened his own jeans and freed his erection.

“Oh god, yes,” she murmured, grabbing him.

Tori’s Teaser Tuesday: A Wolf Hunted From Hearts on Fire Charity Anthology

Tori's Teaser Tuesday

In honor of the release of the charity anthology Hearts on Fire, here’s a teaser from my contribution to the anthology, A Wolf Hunted.

This story chronicles how Dany and Guy from Wolves in Paris met and became mates.

As she approached the salon, a deep, rumbling man’s voice she didn’t recognize emanated from the room. Curious, she entered cautiously, Catherine on her heels.

At the sight of the owner of the deep, rumbling voice, Dany stopped dead and Catherine walked into her.

“Sorry,” Dany mumbled, moving into the room so as not to block her cousin.

In front of her, sitting on the leather couch with her brother, was a huge, muscular man with short dark hair, tan skin, and melty chocolate brown eyes.

He noticed her and stood.

Dany was not a short woman, but this guy towered over her. From his smell, she understood why. He was a bear shifter. The breed of bears known in the Pyrenees region of southwestern France.

Her brother, Lucien, scrambled to a standing position, his gaze darting between Dany and the stranger. “Oh, Guy, this is my sister, Dany. Dany, this is my friend from university, Guy Elizondo.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Guy said, leaning down to kiss her cheeks.

The touch of his cheek against hers sent electrical sparks through her body. But why? she wondered. She had Arnaud. She wasn’t looking for something else. She was happy with him, wasn’t she?

The room was empty, thank goodness, and the door had a lock. Reid shoved the lock home and turned to her with a predatory glint in his eyes.

Anticipation filling her, she stepped backward as he prowled toward her. She couldn’t keep the grin from her face. When her back hit the sinks, she waited for him, anxious to see what he would do. They hadn’t done more than kiss yet, quite heatedly, their hands exploring a bit under their respective clothing. Here, in this public restroom, would they dare to do more?

He reached her and yanked her head toward him, then took her mouth in a bruising kiss that left her panting. With his other hand, he stroked her thigh, pushing underneath her short skirt. At first he just kissed her and teased her inner thigh with his fingers.

But as the intensity of the kiss grew, so did the franticness of his movements.

A well of emptiness deep in her belly was filling with need. The feel of his lips on hers was heaven and she couldn’t get enough. She never wanted it to end.

Tori’s Teaser Tuesday: Savanna Dance

Tori's Teaser Tuesday Hotel Safari

In the staff lodge, she dumped her bag on the floor and rushed to the window. Her own home was beautiful, but this view, out over the plains dotted with animals and occasionally including Kilimanjaro when the weather conditions were just right, always made her feel comfortably insignificant in the world.

Her own problems just didn’t matter. This view reminded her that life goes on, nature runs wild, no matter what was happening in her own life. So what if she was having trouble finding the perfect job since finishing university? The savanna, the gnu, the elephants, the Goliath herons, and her beloved giraffes would always be here.

He lifted his head. Stared into her eyes.

She bit her lip, then pulled him back down. “More.”

Smiling, he obliged.

He started by undoing her pants but she grew impatient. She pushed his hands away. “I’ll do it. Take off yours.”

“Yes, sir.”

Once naked, they stood in front of each other and Ryenne drank in the sight of his magnificent, sculpted body. It was as she remembered from the night in the woods. Smooth, hard, muscled. Perfection.

But now the memory of the woods was in her mind. He had just shifted back to human…from his wolf form.

She took a step back. What was she doing?

But Lucien’s eyes were closed and his mouth beckoned. His arms wrapped around her and his lips found hers, and she melted into the embrace.

The reservations flew out of her mind and she gave herself to the sensations. Of the taste of wine on his lips, the scratchiness of the calluses on his hands, his silken skin, his hard body, his erection against her hip.

Tori’s Teaser Tuesday: Falling for Kigali

Falling for Kigali teaser

Teaser from Falling for Kigali, Book 1 in the upcoming contemporary romance series set in Rwanda

I pulled into Jack’s compound fifteen minutes later. A guard verified my name and then directed me to the back of the house. I found a terrace with plastic chairs, lit with the orangey-pink streaks of the setting sun. Jack slumped in one of the chairs, a bottle of beer on the floor next to him.

Hurrying across the gravel, I said, “I’m so sorry I’m late.”

He looked up and his face was so sad, heartbreakingly sad, just for the moment until my presence registered. Then a relieved smile spread across his face and he stood to meet me.

My stomach did flip-flops at the sight of him, only intensified by the smile and what it had replaced.

I ran into his open arms and he hugged me so tightly I could barely breathe, but I didn’t care. “Are you okay?”

“I didn’t think you were coming,” he said into my hair.

His sad face was because he thought I had stood him up? Wow. No one had ever felt this way about me before. My chest tightened, for a bigger reason than the hug he hadn’t yet lessened. This man liked me. He cared about me. And he wanted to spend time with me.

Maybe it was merely the fantasy world of this environment, but my heart banged in my chest and I felt light-headed with a sudden surge of emotion. Like wasn’t a strong enough word.

He released me and sat back down in his chair, pulling me onto his lap. We snuggled and watched the last rays of sun disappear behind his eucalyptus trees and the roofs of the houses behind his.

They didn’t talk but heat, tension, prickled between them, passing through their clenched hands.

Serena’s stomach was in her throat. She couldn’t have spoken even had she tried. Thoughts and emotions danced through her like sparkles of electricity. Something was going to happen between them, she knew it. The thought thrilled and terrified her.

She wanted him, as she’d never wanted anyone. And she thought he felt the same.

If she was wrong, if he left her at her hotel room door with merely a polite kiss, she’d be devastated.

“Want to dance?”

The smile jumped back to my face. A hot bod, smoldering eyes, and he could dance. I could definitely fall in lust with this man.

He took my hand and led me inside to an area of the living room where couples swayed to live guitar and congas. A group of musicians in Hawaiian shirts stood to one side, beating, strumming, and blowing their hearts out. “They’re with the Nigerian UNAMIR contingent,” Jack shout-whispered in my ear, setting mosquitoes buzzing in my stomach. Before I could comment, Jack swept me into his arms and compelled me to move with his hips and shoulders. We lost ourselves in the rhythm and in each other, but I couldn’t forget his body pressed against mine and his strong arms keeping me upright.

“Where did a Virginia boy learn to dance like this?”

His lips quirked up and heat shot from my belly straight down. “I don’t tango and tell.”

I laughed, throwing my head back, letting the light breeze flowing in the windows cool my sweaty neck.

“Time for another drink?” His mouth nuzzled the skin below my ear as he spoke, his breath further warming my body.

I was torn. Sweaty and exhilarated, I could use a drink, but I didn’t want to separate myself from Jack’s hard body.

He twirled me around in a sudden move and a laugh poured out of me. On the return, I curled in to his chest, my hands on the soft fabric of his shirt, a thumbnail tapping against one of the buttons down the front.

His breath furled across my hair, warming my head. How I wished the room around us was empty.

A new song started, something slow and sultry, drums pounding into my core. Jack’s arms tightened around me.

I looked up into his face. He was no longer smiling. “I guess a drink can wait.”

We swayed together, breathing together.

The song ended and we parted, reluctantly.

“Excuse me,” a voice said from above and slightly behind Ryenne.

She and Gavin glanced up and saw the guy from the next table. She looked over. The woman wasn’t there.

“Sorry to interrupt your meal but I couldn’t help noticing you,” he said. “My girlfriend and I have an open relationship. I was hoping you might let me borrow your girl.”

Ryenne’s eyebrows shot up. “His girl?”

A huge smile broke across Gavin’s face.

“This girl,” Ryenne said, “makes up her own mind. And this girl has no intention of doing anything with you, open relationship or not.”

“Come on, baby, you might like it,” the man said.

Ryenne gave Gavin a look that she hoped conveyed “Is this guy for real? What decade is this?”

The smile on Gavin’s face grew wider and he sat back in his chair as if ready to watch a show.

Sexy Snippet Saturday: Kenya Calling

Her glass of wine joined his on the table and she launched herself at him, grabbing him by the back of his head and pulling him close for a kiss. Their lips met and heat scorched through her body. The tension of the night exploded between them and she couldn’t get close enough. She tore off her leather jacket, no longer feeling the chill of the coming dawn, and pressed herself against him.

He ran his hands down her sides and his tongue explored her mouth.

Her fingers enjoyed the feel of his thick hair while her mouth indulged in the softness of his.

The kiss stretched on and on, his hands found her bare skin, and she was on fire. She needed his skin, too. Pulling away from his mouth, she lifted the hem of her tank top, removed it, and tossed it on the floor. Then she scrabbled at the buttons of his shirt.
